My Friends on my Kinky Gerlinky
MySpace November 2007 - April 2008
inkjet prints, tamperproof noticeboard
90 x 129 cm
In this piece the notion of online acquaintances by way of Myspace friends
become a physical reality,
whilst also charting the development of the contemporary self-portrait
from the notion of a passport approved image into the personalised digital
portrait.
The public aspect of collecting friends on the Internet is maintained by re-displaying
the portraits on a public notice board.
